| OSHKOSH AREA JOBLESS RATES REMAIN LOW | | |
| Oshkosh and Winnebago County unemployment rates continued to remain at some of its lowest levels ever in March 2022. The unemployment rates for Oshkosh and Winnebago County remained among some of the lowest in the state and region as reported by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD). CITY OF OSHKOSH EMPLOYMENT DATA The data indicated that the unemployment rate for March 2022 was 2.5%, unchanged from February of 2022 and down from 4% in March 2021. There were 33,827 Oshkosh City residents working this year in March vs. 33,268 last year, for a gain of 559 workers. WINNEBAGO COUNTY EMPLOYMENT DATA The Winnebago County unemployment rate for March 2022 was 2.7%, up slightly from 2.6% in February 2022 but down from 3.9% in March of 2021. There are 90,422 Winnebago County residents working this year vs. 88,927 last year. This indicates a significant year over year gain of 1,495 more people working this year vs. last year. WISCONSIN and US EMPLOYMENT DATA The Wisconsin March 2022 unemployment rate was 3.3%, down from 4.8% in March of 2021. In March, there were 3,034,552 statewide residents working this year vs. 2,965,481 last year, for a gain of 69,071 workers. The 3.3% statewide unemployment rate remains below the national average of 3.8%.
