Education
Oshkosh parents are proud of their school systems, where children can grow their talents in sports, the arts, and academics. Oshkosh’s public and private school systems are considered among the best of the best.
Students in the Oshkosh Area School District earn high scores in statewide testing in reading, math, and social studies. The school district provides information on the types of tests administered and assessment data.
Oshkosh Christian School/Valley Christian High School regularly profiles its graduating class, consistently scoring high in graduation rates and college entrance exams.
Trinity Lutheran School features small group instruction and stresses Christian discipline.

The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh is the state’s third-largest university and is proud of its recent decade of growth. UW Oshkosh has more than 13,000 enrolled students. The university consists of four colleges and offers several master’s degree programs.
Healthcare
Oshkosh residents are fortunate to have access to award-winning healthcare systems. Both Ascension Mercy Hospital and Advocate Aurora Health have hospitals and several clinics located in Oshkosh. ThedaCare, based in Neenah, WI, also has several clinics in Oshkosh, and specialty care for children is just a few minutes away in Neenah at Children’s Hospital WI – Fox Valley.

Ascension Mercy Hospital, a Catholic, mission-oriented regional healthcare network, is Fox Valley’s third-largest employer and has been named among the Top 100 Integrated Health Networks in the nation for eight consecutive years. Ascension’s Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh has also been ranked among the top 1 percent of hospitals nationwide in terms of quality and efficiency. Affinity’s health insurance provider, Network Health, has achieved Excellent accreditation status from the National Committee for Quality Assurance–the highest possible level and has been nationally ranked in the Top 50 Health Insurance Plans for five consecutive years by U.S. News and World Report. Advocate Aurora Health
Advocate Aurora Health is a not-for-profit Wisconsin healthcare provider and a nationally recognized leader in efforts to improve the quality of healthcare. Aurora offers services at sites in more than 90 communities throughout eastern Wisconsin.
Children’s Hosptial of Wisconsin-Fox Valley
Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin-Fox Valley operates an inpatient Pediatric Unit and a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The hospital, which opened in 2001, is located at 130 Second St. in Neenah, Wis. Outpatient services are offered at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Clinics-Fox Valley, and child protection services are provided at the Child Advocacy Center. Children’s Hospital-Fox Valley is affiliated with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, rated among the best children’s hospitals in the nation by Parents magazine and U.S.News & World Report. Children’s Hospital-Fox Valley and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin are members of Children’s Hospital and Health System.
ThedaCare™
For more than 100 years, ThedaCare™ has been committed to finding a better way to deliver serious and complex healthcare to patients throughout Northeast Wisconsin. The organization serves over 200,000 patients annually and employs more than 7,000 healthcare professionals throughout the region. ThedaCare has seven hospitals located in Appleton, Neenah, Berlin, Waupaca, Shawano, New London, and Wild Rose as well as 34 clinics in 14 counties. ThedaCare is the first in Wisconsin to be a Mayo Clinic Care Network Member, giving our specialists the ability to consult with Mayo Clinic experts on a patient’s care. ThedaCare is a non-profit healthcare organization with a level II trauma center, comprehensive cancer treatment, stroke, and cardiac programs as well as a foundation dedicated to community service.
